Question Lower EGT's

Anyone know of the quickest, or best way to lower Exhaust Gas Temperatures? I pull a 36 foot 5th Wheel with my 2001 Diesle Ram 2500. I have a Quadzilla Adrenelin installed and a 4" Straight Pipe.

If your 2001 is a HO-6 Speed drop a gear and raise the RPM's. If it is a AUTO..... O/D OFF or 2nd Gear while pulling a HUGE hill. RPM's are the best way Stock...... Your box is sending MORE Fuel and probably adjusting the Timing a little. Bigger Injectors and a Bigger Turbo will also help out drastically!!!!

I have a 5 speed, and I expected the EGT's to drop if I dropped a gear, however they do not for long, the temp actually increases. I also have a ford with a 7.3, and when it downshifts, the temp drops.

Any idea as to why it would not with this truck?
I'm wondering if there is just not enough air going in, like you said, maybe a bigger turbo?
