Exclamation Engine Stalling

Engine stalled coming home from work as if I turned the key off while driving. No warning run perfect up until then. Always starts up and runs just under a mile or two and then stalls again. Engine check light DOES NOT come on. If I hold break and keep foot on gas to keep the RPMs up it stay running enough to get it somewhere.

Any advice, answers, comments. We just want to get this solved.

Normally the engine runs great. I have had it up in the mountains 4x4ing and it performed great. Reg maint. up keep includes new battery.
