The placement of the X or H is also important. I cut out the goofy factory Y, installed a Magnaflow Y pipe and a Magnaflow cat back on my new truck. I like it allot. My brother also has a 2012 ST Express went with a custom bent true dual Flowmaster. Both had minimal power increase but the sound is much nicer. His true duals have a deeper sound but has a noticeable "motor boat" sound in ECO mode. Mine has slight drone at 65 -70MPH but not enough to make me change it and no "motor boat" sound in ECO. If you go with true duals, you will love the sound until the cylinder shut down kicks in.

Thumbs up

I think for $85.00 to purchase the X I will as long as it doesn't cause a restriction in flow due to double crossing ( no pun intended ). I just ordered my Vararam & i'll be installing it as well as my exhaust system & fast man TB within a week. I really hope to see a significant change. Thanks so much guys for all the input. Look forward to speaking with y'all again.

Angry Cylinder Shutoff ???????

Is there anyone out there that may know how remap the codes in our pickups to prevent the cylinders from shutting down. I really don't want to do all this work to my truck just to have it sound like a pissed off bumblebee in Eco mode

You can shift in manual 6th gear and then it will behave normally, but no MDS.

I would do an H where the Y pipe would normally be (if goin the true duals rout), this will promote more low end tq.
