I agree with several posts on this thread. I don't believe it makes much of an increase in horsepower or fuel mileage per say. I do believe they are a great filter though. They are very durable and easy to clean. The k&n filters run around 45-50 bucks. The re-charge kits to clean them are 11.99 where I live in West Virginia. All you have to do is take it out and spray it with the k&n air filter cleaner that comes in the kit then spray it with a water hose that doesn't have extreme pressure, hang it up outside and let it air dry but not in direct sunlight. Once it is dry all you have to do is spray it with the k&n air filter oil that also comes in the re-charge kit. When you spray the air filter oil on the actual air filter it will be red in color. The air filter oil is what protects the filter and keeps it clean. It catches all the dirt and grime. When you see the red turning black you know it's time to clean it again.
