Default Kegger repair started

A couple weeks ago I decided to clean my throtle body and while I had it off I decided to look inside the keg. Much to my shagrin there was a pool of oil in the passenger rear of the pan. I ordered up the Hughs repair kit and got it Friday. Had a busy weekend and it was 40* celsius with the humidity so I started the teardown tonight. Compared to the 60's and 70's engines taking off the intake on these is a pain, with all the different things crossed over each other. Got a fair amount done before I lost light. Will continue tomorrow if weather permits, rain in the forecast.

Well I got my kegg unbolted last night and when I lifted it off I found that there was a missing bolt head on the drivers rear head. Being close to the distributer the was no room for vise grips or anything else to grip and remove the leftover stud. I didn't want to remove the head and at first I couldn't get a nut on it, so I took my dremel with 90* and cutoff wheel and took the top off the stud and then put 2 nuts on and tightened them against each other and I was able to remove it that way. Right now I have everything back together but want to drain the oil first as I feel some antifreeze got down into the pan. Will do the oilchange in the am weather permitting. Strange thing was doing the intake torque in inch #'s instead of ft#. I had an in# wrench but had never used it so it was alearning lesson. Looking forward to firing her up tomorrow.
