I'm still looking to disable the horn when locking the truck and get a blink on the lights instead. Up to now I only found a way to disable both, the locking and unlocking signals.

Reducing the horn sound to a small chirp would be ok too, but not the original sound.
The horn chirp feature will be shipped from the assembly plants activated. If desired this feature can be disabled by using the following procedure:

1. Perform this operation while standing outside the vehicle.

2. Press and hold the LOCK button on a programmed (i.e. functional) key fob.

3. Continue to hold the LOCK button, wait at least 4 seconds, but no longer than 10 seconds, then press and hold the PANIC button. Release both buttons at the same time.

4. To reactivate this feature, repeat the above steps.

Vehicles will be shipped from the assembly plants with the park lamp flash feature activated. If desired, this feature can be disabled by using the following procedure:

1. Perform this operation while standing outside the vehicle.

2. Press and hold the UNLOCK button on a programmed (i.e. functional) key fob.

3. Continue to hold the UNLOCK button, wait at least 4 seconds, but no longer than 10 seconds, then press and hold the LOCK button. Release both buttons at the same time.

4. To reactivate this feature, repeat the above steps

Post Seat Belt light and buzzer

Just unplug the buckle under the seat, take the plug off it bracket, cut the plug off then strip and join the two wires together insulate and done no more light and no more buzzer.

Bad advice IMO.

Altering anything at all especially electrical, voids the warranty.

The unplugging of the connector under the seat doesn't work on 2011 and newer I believe. On my 3rd Gen, once the connector was unplugged all you had to do was insert a 100Ohm resistor into the vehicle side connector pins. This would disable the ding and light without splicing or any major modifications. With the 2011 and newer they got smart as the used a hall effect sensor inside the buckle latch vs a simple resistor multiplex circuit.

I haven't had time to mess with it further as I usually wear my belt anyway, and simply having the ding gone for rides around my property is sufficient. I am putting my energy into trying to disable the "Black Box" code so I don't have something monitoring my every move.. More to follow in another thread...

Finally got it to work on my 08. Turned off all my accessories like hear lights radio. I did it the five times and a little slower than the first hundred times I tried it and it worked like a charm!

That worked well. I hate the stupid horn when I am coming in late at night. The last thing I need at 2 am is my neighbor getting cranky.

Also the seatbelt chime worked on my 2012. At least I got the single chime to signify it worked. I will check it out tomorrow I guess.

So do you have to do this each time you get in or does it turn it off permanently ?
