Default superchips/diablo advice

2010 dodge ram 2500 5.7. I need help from folks with these tuners. first off I am not planning on racing this thing.I use it as a daily driver, but plan on a cold air intake, and I am installing a magnaflow muffler and mandrel bent tailpipe.I am interested in the 87 octane tunes for now.will both of these tuners compensate for the intake and exhaust without a custom tune ,or do I really need to worry about it with 87 tunes?

I have the diablosport predator and I love it.The only thing is I got quite a bit of knock retard on the 87 tune using 87 octane but if you end up buying the dsp just use 89 octane or up. I personally use the 91 tune with 93 octane due to not having 91 octane around here. In my honest opinion it was worth the money and really woke my truck up. Maybe someone will chime in with the sc so you have some comparison.

I have an SC tuner and currently I run the 87 tune with 87 octane... never a ping or a problem.

Both are great products and come with canned tunes (great for daily driver). There a ton of reviews on them here too...just click the product and when you enter your year/make/model those reviews will show up first!

With either of them you don't have to do any adjustments for intake/exhaust modifications. I personally think superchips gives more power, and you get the transmission tuning benefit, but diablo allows custom tuning if you need that.
