Default Clutch problem with my 05' Ram 2500

I have an 05' Ram 2500 with the 5.7 Hemi and the G56 six speed manual trans. with 100K on the truck. I changed the clutch, everything was installed properly. After I reinstalled the slave cylinder the clutch dosent seem to fully disenguage, wont go into gear while running. When I removed the slave cylinder durring the tear down I am pretty sure the push rod on the slave came out of the cylinder far enough to sort of hang from the rubber boot. Dose any one know if this might cause a problem with the seals inside the slave and damage its performance? Is it "common" practice to change the master/slave setup while changing the clutch on these trucks? Thanks in advance.

All I can offer you is that I would definitely change the slave cylinder. I don't think it would be too expensive right? Easy enough to change..
