Yes. They say not to because you will run a little lean, but I've known several people that have done long tubes on their cars with SC and they've been fine. One guy now has like 170k miles on his camaro, has had long tubes and SC for several years, probably over 70k miles. Another guy did it on his 3rd gen hemi ram and went over 50k miles before selling. A custom tune would be better, but it will work.

My buddy with the ram had gibson long tubes.

No problem running Superchip w/ aftermarket headers (2 years with LT's and SC3815 91 canned tune only). Nice to invest in a 180 t-stat while you are at it.

4.56's is great mod too. Good luck in your decision.

No problems, I'm running it with BBK's, runs great and x2 on the 180 thermostat.

Keeps the engine at a lower operating temperature. Stock tstat is ~195-200 deg F. It will keep the engine a little cooler, slightly more power, and slightly prolong engine life. It's a great, cheap, easy mod.

lower tstat will assist in running richer to offset the the headers possibly leaning your AFR a few points through the rpm. It will prob run just fine with your stock tstat so its more of a assurance option vs a requirement.
