Post Another performance question

Hey guys been awhile since I've posted thought I'd ask what are the best mods for performance and mpg? I know those two words don't mix good together but I want to do some mods that when I'm light on the throttle I can get some good mpgs and when I want to open up the hemi I have alot better performance. I know the 3 basics CAI, tuner, and exhaust. I'm leaning against buying a cai and just making my own (gotta get around to doing it) and tuner I'm mostly leaning towards the diablo intune. then for exhaust I'm completely lost. I read alot of people are putting on jba headers. do they make the truck alot louder? and if i would put headers on should i just go with a muffler too right away? I wanna keep my truck somewhat quiet so when I"m idling through places I'm not supposed to be i won't get caught also with headers would i gain mpgs?

let me know what you guys think! thanks

My personal opinion is to tune your truck first and see how that goes.
The tuner has control over fueling, so that right there can potentially increase your MPGs.

I have a '12 so i cant tune my truck yet, but i do have JBAs, and a couple other minor mods. I can say that nothing i have done (so far ) has helped my mileage at all.
Most of the time i drive like a gandma too, so its not that im a lead foot.
Hope this helps

Definitely a tuner is a must and swap of your thermostat for a 180....

To open your air out (exhaust)- JBA headers(not loud), 22" or 24" (if you don't want it much louder than stock) magnaflow muffler (any free flowing muffler-borla, corsa, but not flowmaster), and a magnaflow y-pipe.

To open your air intake- Fastman Throttle body, CAI (which you already got something in the work)

Since you have tuning you can swap your e-fan out with the bigger V-6 e-fan getting rid of your clutch/mechanical fan....people have reported an 1mpg increase with slight performance bump.
