Default 12k mile report hits/misses

Just turned 12k in my '11 R/T, and trading it in on a truck with 4 doors.

HITS:
1) smooth ride and great handling with the 22's and Goodyears, and really liked the ride from the coil spring rear end.
2) real time traffic on the nav.
3) gas mileage was pretty good, usually 18+ on the hwy at 70+.
4) My daughter really liked the touch-screen radio.

MISSES:
1) Nav scale is ridiculous. 700', then 0.5mi, then 2.0mi, nothing in between. Crap.
2) headlights... not bright, lousy pattern. Hi beam is just a brighter version of low, not a different pattern. Constantly outdrove the lights reach... dangerous.
3) Ride height... way too high for a "sport" truck.
4) resale value. Because of big incentives on new trucks, best offer I got was just 70% of MSRP on a 9 month old truck with only 12k.

Yes, I sold the R/T, (I needed more cab space).

No, I won't have the same problems, as I've switched brands.

After 3,000 miles, the new Ford King Ranch with the 3.5 EcoBoost V6, successfully addressed all the negative areas I listed above.

Particularly, I am no longer outdriving my headlights, and the Ford/Sony nav system is terrific (way overpriced), and the Ford Sync works great.

Stiil, the RAM won out in 3 areas.

1) Ride and handling. Cant beat RAM's coil spring rear.

2) I miss the R/T's wheels and tires... Ford has nothing like them (6 lug wheels)

3) Trailer plug placement above the bumper on RAM makes perfect sense.

Kind of an odd post to make here;
not sure if I am supposed to get all R/T defensive, or support the choice to lose so much money over a nav system and headlights.

So instead I'll say:
Glad you found what you like, and it is working out for you!
Sorry to see you leaving the community here, but happy trucking!

You just traded a 400HP Hemi for a EcoBoost V6. I doubt you're outdriving anything.

LOL, thanks for the kind words, fellas. The F-bomb is no Hemi, to be sure.
