Default Test drove something else but Ram wins!

Guys when I started looking at trucks I knew I couldn't in good conscious not drive the eco poost, I mean boost. Anyhow it drove ok and had decent power but the ride and drive felt better on the Ram. The tq felt better on the Ram as well. Now I'm not being biased in the least because I was thinking real hard about the ford as well. Looked at there forums and they are having issues and as stated on hear the mileage isn't that stellar either.
My friend talked to a buddy of his that is a Service manager at a big dealership in NC and he said the problems were minor but they were under powered and a little over rated and the mileage isn't anything like they say. His words not mine.

I've never owned a vehicle that milaged as good as it claimed.
I've never driven an eco boost, ive sat in a new platinum. Nice trucks for sure but it'd be pretty tough to get me out of a hemi. I've always been a fan of the big gassers. If ram offered a 6.1 or 6.4, or even a new v10 truck I'd buy that.

I checked out Ford and Chevy also. The Ram was a better value. I got a 12 express qc with the Hemi for 22k. Don't get me wrong the others are alright, but a 390 horse v8 for that price was hard to beat. Plus the coil spring rear gives it a good ride. I don't mean to sound like a commercial, I just think it is a good value.

A buddy of mine just bought one, it runs decent but I told him he didn't want any of my Express Hemi! The turbos are tiny and the underhood clutter is typical of Fords. Did I just say that? I've bought Fords my entire life and love them but I think my new Ram will have me throwing rocks at them now! Now to give credit where credit is due.....I have owned many Fords (im 50) and never has one ever left me stranded.

No doubt Ford builds an excellent truck, but we would be a bit leary of the ecoboost thing if we intended to work a truck much. Probably be just fine for driving about and some light haul. We talked to a man who owns one yesterday and he admitted that the fuel economy on his ecoboost has been a disappointment so far (he said aproximately 5K miles). Nice looking truck, though.

For our part, we will stick with the hemi.

We trudge on.

My friend has a new ford and the fuel economy is much better than my ram. I probably average around 800 km per 121 litre tank. His ford gets around 1400 km per 121 litre tank.

However his truck feels completely gutless compared to mine, so it's a trade off.

Overall the ram's fuel economy is decent in town if you're not always hard on the gas. I take advantage of it being able to run on 4 cylinders, something which immediately turned me off from a Tundra or Titan (pigs!)
