Default Another Plastidip badge thread

Last month I decided to go ahead and Plastidip my badges. I wanted my 4x4 badge to stand out and wanted to remove as much chrome as I could. I used 4-5 light coats with about 25 minutes between them.

Even though we have all seen this before, I know we love pictures so enjoy.

Prep work for the rear. I taped off to the edge of the rear badge, but just left a 1 inch buffer around the 4x4. I wanted to be able to pull up the excess off the paint to clean up inside the letters.

I removed the front badge so I would not have to tape the front of the truck up. The texture goes away as it dries.

Finished

Thanks. It turned out great.

I have decided to do the rims next, but am trying to decide between Black or Gunmetal plastidip.

Side note: that website I link to has the best prices for Plastidip if you are going to be ordering in quantity.
