You need re-enforced pitman arm, Heim joint tie rods and maybe ball joints. Its a issue with most IFS

Had my new 2500 for about a month now. The feeling is similar to a front end out of alignment but had the shop look at it and they found nothing. At highway speeds the front end wanders or even darts to the left and right depending on the characteristics of road. If I drive over the center line to pass the truck reacts to the painted lines on the road pausing and darting. Same with ruts in old pavement. Called the local service manager at the Dodge place and he told me he had never heard of this in ten years at his position and even said he did not think he could fix my problem. Really?? Also it drifts to the left or right depending on what side of the four-lane I am on more than I think it should. I found on the net a "Steering Stabilizer". Has anyone had any experience with this? Any ideas?

Just had my tie rods, bushings and UCA's replaced last week under warranty. Nothing was wrong with them but they thought it might fix the squeak in my front end. It didn't.

Were all these on recall / tsb? I thought the dealer would give me a hard time since I have the front leveled with 5100's but they did it all on warranty no problem.

I have a squeek in my suspension that I have been trying to get fixed as well. Mine sounds like a break sensor when your pads are low. But, it happends any time i hit the slightest bump in the road.

Does yours sound like that?

The dealer replaced all of my brake hardware (because they would'nt listen to me) and it still does it. I'm going to take it back next week and have them tare the suspension apart until they find it.

I also have the wondering feeling when I hit large bumps at high speed. I have a feeling the steering stabalizer would help because it feels the same as my friends truck did before he put one on his. Although he put one on cause he was running 38" tires! I can't believe mine does this with stock tires!

So the dealer replaced the driver side strut and coil spring assembly. It fixed the squeak that I was hearing, but now I hear one comeing from the rear! I have also have noticed a clunk coming from the front suspension when I go over bumps at low speed. I'm very disappointed with the suspension on my truck

Well, I would like to know what monkey designed the tie rod end. Then I would like to meet the same monkey who decided to use the same thing as a 'recall' item.

I drive tow truck, we have a 2010 and 2011 Dodge 5500. I drive the 2011 and it has about 27k on it since we got it last fall, and no problems what so ever.

The 2010, however, went through its 1st tie rod end at 31k, the 'recall' 2nd ti rod and at 60k, and last week it went through the 3rd one, at around 80k.

The thing is though, they have all failed while reversing. Twice just in a parking lot unloaded, and once backing a car into a stall at the local Ford dealer.

Glad my personal truck is a 1500...
