Default A/C Blower problem

My A/C blower is giving me fits. At first it would go on and off when I adjusted the steering wheel. Now I have to reach under the steering column cover and push the electrical connecter around and now that is starting not to work. How can I fix this?

Default Picture of the problem

After reading as much as possible here on this forum I decided to throw caution to the wind and get my screwdriver out. I took apart the cover and disconnected the connecter to the ignition and found this. Notice the discoloration between the top two pins.
Where do I go from here?

that is from resistance which builds heat. was the connector loose? that can cause resistance in the circut.

Mine likes to fluctuate up and down. At times it barely blows then it decides to come to the party and blow as designed. The blower motor is a year old. Running a continuity test on the resistor pack on Saturday. This truck must have been built on a Friday night as I just replaced 2 of 3 bad door lock actuators.
