I haven't seen "plasti dip smoked". But i have used plasti dip on my grill and other small things. Based on that color, I wouldn't put that on my tails. I think a lot of people have used "Nite shade" or something like that. I've seen it at my local Napa store before. Best of luck.

A buddy of mine used the smoke on his tails....It is a matte finish, but you can spray a couple of coat of gloss (clear) and it gives it a shiny glassy look. I did his as well as mine. Although mine are wetsanded down, VHT'd, cleared, and buffed
The benefits of using theyre smoke, is its a lot easier to take off than VHT
To take VHT off just pour gasoline on a rag and scrub it off
I have redone my tails several times using this method

Plastidip also has a clear that can be used on their products. I think I am going to give it a try on the wife's new car some time in the near future. Planning on doing the taillights to gloss black with the rims and badges to gloss white.

That would be the "glossifier". All it is is a glossy/clear coat. You can use any clear coat over their product. If you want a high gloss finish, I would recommend using this.
