Default 2012 3500 Block heater

Hey guys - brand new to the forums, but had a question I was hoping you all could answer. I am getting ready to buy a new 2012 3500 Laramie Longhorn. I have the window sticker and it DOES NOT have the cold weather package. Does that mean that it doesn't have the block heater, or just that it doesn't have the cord wired? I know the cord is available separately and am comfortable with installing and routing the cable, but I absolutely do not want t mess with trying to install a heater in a new truck. Thanks for your time.
Cheers,
Ray

some of the Rams have the block heater tucked up under the inner fenders some where

tell the dealership that you feel that that option should be on your Ram

Never heard of a cold weather package but on both my trucks the block heater cord was found tucked under the plastic filler panel that covers the gap between the grill and rad. Look on the left side near the coolant overflow cap. No need to unfasten the panel, just pull it up a bit and you'll see the cord with a braided sleeve on it. Block heater and cord come together.

That is unreal if your 3500 Cummins does not have a the cold weather group. If it does not say it on the sticker than I imagine you will not have the heater element installed. The plug in for it if you have it will be near the oil filter.. I will snap a pic here in a few for you.

Edit: Okay so I had some already...hmm. Anyways here you are

This first one is near the passenger tow hook. That is where my plug is on my 2012 2500 Laramie.

This picture is showing where the plug in for the element is. As you can tell I have the cord so it's there. The big gray thing to the right is the engine oil filter.

If its the Cummins diesel and not the hemi, its already there. They all come with it. Get the cord from the dealer and it comes with all the clips to clip into the frame. I did teh same for my 2010 2500 when I had it.
