Default Driver's door lock issue

I'm having an issue with the driver's door lock. I guess the acctuator is going out. Usint the key fob to lock or unlock the truck the driver's door will barely move, not that I'm too lazy to do it the old fasion way, that doesnt bother me, what bother's me is that now it's getting to the point that when I try to get out of my truck using the inside door handle it wont unlock the door, neither will pulling up on the lock or pushing the button on the door. I have to push the button WHILE pulling up on the lock or push the key fob button while pulling up on the lock. That's a safety issue in my book.....so now it bothers me. Called the dodge house and they want $70 for the actuator. Hoping somebody can steer me in the right direction to find one for cheeper.

I removed the door panel hoping it was a simple issue some WD40 could solve, but the mechanical parts were moving around just fine. Stupid electronics.

This may start to be an issue with the truck. Mine just stopped working last week. same issue as yours. the actuator tries to move it but its like it does no have enough power to mover it.

I had the same problem. $70 for the part and they want 1.5 hours of labor to install it. It's frustrating becuase 9 times out of 10 the drivers side door never locked. Plus you had to pull out the key from inside the fob everytime you wanted to unlock the door ( or be lazy and hold down the unlock button to roll down the window and reach in)

I got tired of using the emergency key and nobody around had a key blank the right size to make a spare, so I had to pay dodge $8 to make a spare key to keep on the key ring to use to open my driver's door. I'm just going to use that untill I trade in my truck at the end of the year unless the extra money finds its way into my wallet before then. No way I'm paying $70 for that little actuator when an entire 2 door universal power door lock kit costs the same amount.
