Question There has got to be a better way...

last week my passenger side front axle seal started leaking and i know how much of a pain they are to do and i dont want to have to pay a shop to do it but my question is is there any aftermaket parts to fix this?? ive heard for jeeps and stuff they make aftermarket seals that go in from the outside that seal it okay but cant seem to find it for my 98...help please!!

It will be easier for you to change the entire hub, rather than screw around with a seal press, a lot of cussing and broken knuckles.

Hub swap is simple, fast, and although its slightly more expensive, trust me when I say your knuckles will thank you! Autozone will have the parts you need for cheaper than most places, or you can check salvage yards. I always go with AZ because they have a lifetime warranty on nearly all Duralast parts they sell.

I'm pretty sure he's talking about the inner seal. It has to be done from the inside of the diff. If you pull the axle and peer in through the actuator...you can see it waaay in there.

have it completely torn down and waiting on the seals..actualy wasnt that bad of a job so far
