Default axle ratio for 2005 2500 2wd quad cab longbed

need a build sheet so I can find out what axle ratio I have. I want to haul heavy loads (two cars). Any help? I'm new to this forum so I'm not sure what info to include.

First off, you'll get a better response if you post it under the 3rd Gen section.

However I do believe that the '05 should have an options tag in the glove-box that will give you the ratio. They used to be under the hood on the underside.

You can also check the differential housings for a tag that will give you the ratio.

If those fail, you can go to any dealership with the VIN, or contact Chrysler.com and they will supply one and advise you of any recalls that haven't been performed on your truck.

If you feel like pulling the cover off. Count the gears on the ring gear and the gears on the axle shaft gear. Divide the smaller one into the larger one.

I hope that was enlightening.
