Default 3 Questions 1 Thread

Hey yall, whats up? new to this forum and have a few questions about my 98 Dodge RAM 1500 3.9l (WS Standard Cab According to

1st question) Is there anyway to install a factory Alarm system on my truck even tho it doesnt have power locks and power windows?

2) How hard is it to install a AC Condenser Core? My truck has all the bells and whistles for AC just the AC Core condenser is gone because the guy who owned the truck before me hit a deer and he screwed up the front end. just the bumper pretty much and I think the person who attempted to put the truck back together took as in stole the condenser.

3) Where is the security module on my truck?

I can help with question 2, and it is very easy to do a condensor on your truck. If you have basic skill and a 10mm you should be set. your best bet would be to go to a junk yard where you can get the mounting screws and everything all at once. as long as the hoses from the compressor and evaporator that go to the condensor are not broken or bent to bad from the deer you should be good, otherwise get them to while at the junk yard. As far as question 1 I would have to assume that an aftermarket alarm would be much easier and cheaper since you would nothave to go to the dealership for any programming but i dont know. and question 3......Google=) Hope this helps since its been a months since you posted you might have it fixed b now. Good luck

I don't think there's a security modual on a ws I have the same trim level. An after market will work well all it needs to have is a start kill and a power drop sensor. Both are fairly standerd and if you want keyless entry a good alarm shop can install lock servos that will operate with alarm only so you won't have lock swithes on the doors.
