Default Back Pressure

So i see alot of people asking about it and I am not looking for the information I really need to figure out what I am going to do to it. My friend is recomending that I knock out my cat and go with a more flow exhaust to take my truck into a stock truck pull but our concern is the back pressure. so the question is.... Do I need the Cat? or do I really need the back pressure?

Thanks

Well the the wayvthe emissions are set up on truck you need a properly working cat. You have an up draft 02 and a down draft 02 and they need 2 differnt readings for computer to monitor. If you don't have a cat it will probebly set cel and hurt fuel economy. Every little bit helps.

The cat is not there to create "back pressure"
The responsible thing to do is keep a cat, stock or high flow.
Back pressure only hurts power.
