Default does this sound like a wheel bearing?

02 or 03 Ram QC, 2 wheel drive. It feels like it's coming from the left front, and the noise goes away if you taking a left turn or curve, or if you just swerve to the left.

Also, is there a write up w/ pics on here about this job?

Usually if the noise goes away when the body rolls and weight is on that wheel it is a bearing. Sounds to me you have a bad bearing. Jack it up and check for any play in both front wheels.

if you have the same amount of play up and down as you do side to side its a bearing.

how to take it apart.

pretty sure its a componet.

1- axle nut.

3 retainer nuts on the back side, usually between 14-16 mm.

have a healthy dead blow hammer.

you may have to seperate the ball joint and take the tie rod out of the knuckle, just dont mess with the tie rod's adjustment or you'll throw the alignment.
