Popular Equipment Package-Towing
- Heavy Duty Trans Oil Cooler
- Heavy Duty Engine Cooling
- Heavy Duty Engine Oil Cooler
- Heavy Duty Power Steering oil Cooler
- Receiver, Hitch, CLIV
- Trailer Brake Controller

Then it lists separately Trans oil cooler again later, So I assume it has dual trans coolers.

For whatever reason, when I bought my truck it had no hitch, or brake controller on it, but everything else is there. I added the hitch and the brake controller is coming soon. Maybe a factory mix up? I know the other components are there, so its all good.

^What are you looking for on the mopar site?

Just buy an aftermarket hitch. It will be cheaper and just as good or better...

I was looking for the towing package and what comes with it so i can compare to what i have on my truck. don't want to risk over heating anything. It's hot enough in the desert with temperatures at 50 Celsius during the summer months

Oh ok, gotcha. I'm really not sure what comes with the "tow package". From what I understand, every ram 1500 (v8...anyway) has identical transmission coolers(and transmissions for that matter).

You could invest a few hundred dollars into an aftermarket aluminum deep transmission pan, it'll transfer heat away better and hold extra fluid. This will help keep it cooler a little. Also will have a drain plug which is nice.

asendi, may i suggest that you contact CUSTOMER SERVICE
http://www.ramtrucks.com/webselfserv...ucks/index.jsp
email may be the best way

you will need your VIN# & mileage
ask them to send you a BUILD SHEET

it will have everything on your vehicle listed, it is about 3 pages long & comes in handy as a reference, i still refer to mine about once a week

As far as the hitches available to you, there are about 4 companies that make all the hitches & receivers, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, Curt, and Valley, i have not heard much about Valley
This site will help you to visualize the part & i believe they even have installation instructions
