Default Suspension Lift 2WD

Ok, I've been looking at some suspension lift kits for my truck, and I have a (probably stupid) question.

Would I be able to use the kit from a 4WD on a 2WD?

I wouldn't think so, but like I said before.....I am completely new to trucks.

The reason I ask is this is the kit I was looking at:

http://www.4wheelparts.com/Lift-Kits...n=RANR1067R9PB

I'm still looking to see if they offer any 2WD applications, but no luck so far.

Apparently I can't edit my first post.....but I did find this on the ranchero PDF

2WD Ram 1500 (1⁄2 Ton) w/Rancho RS6275 System RS999276XL RS999112XL

It indicates that's a 4" lift, but I can't find the kit anywhere.

The only problem I have with that one....no information or pictures. I am very leery of buying something without at least SOME comfirmation of fitment, and what I'm getting.

Nice kit...but I really don't need a 6" kit, not to mention the effects on ride stability that would produce. If you read the parts list, it talks about 6" coil springs front, and 3" blocks back, which means it's leveling the front by 3".

How tall are you looking to go?

There are several manufacturers that make 3" and 4" Lift Spindles along with 1", 2" and 3" Lift Coils that will lift your truck from anywhere from 1" to 7" depending on how high you want to go. Then you could level the rear this lift blocks.

I'm looking for about 3" overall, want to keep the stock front end drop.

I might go higher, but that 6" kit makes me nervous, when it talks about 6" front and 3" rear. I'd rather not get the death wobble.

Honestly, I want 3" minimum, if I can go higher for the same range, that's even better, but I want to keep a good balance on the truck.

If you want to go 3" then go with the Rough Country 3" Lift Spindle. Unfortunately you will only be able to install 3" Lift Coils for a total height of 6". Don't fear going higher cause I started with a 4" Spindle Lift and later added a 2" Lift Coil only regreting not going the extra inch. As for the death wobble, I have no idea what people are talking about because this is the only Dodge Forum that is talking about it that I know of.
