2nd gen heavy duty trucks had an 8.0L v 10. Judging by the exhaust on that one I would say it is a diesel though.

The 2nd gen V10 has nothing in common with the 8.0L viper engine, sadly. The head design is completely different and they won't bolt onto the truck's V10 magnum block. I had believed the same thing, however, a local guy tried it and it doesn't work.

Not factory Viper engine other than a one off prototype show truck. 2500 was available with the cast iron v10.

If they all had tags on them then I would have said it could be US Service members having their cars shipped. We get a lot of car haulers in our shop and most times it is service members being shipped to or from Hawaii.

I knew there was a number of difference but didnt pay too much attention to the v10's

the v10 2nd gen ram was a joke...my ex gf's dad had one and I thought it was not faster or more powerful than the v8. Looked cool as hell under the hood though.

They were probably bought from a car auction. I used to pick up various loads just like that from Adesa in Shreveport and take them to different used car lots. Mainly they went to Houston or Memphis.
