Default Hose on axle

I'm new to this and to a truck. Am a female and know next to nothing about trucks. Today I noticed a hose hanging from the rear axle. I looked and it has a white cap on the end with a metal clip. Can't figure out where it goes. I recently had dual exhaust put on. Could they have unhooked it or can they brake and come loose? What should I do? Thanks for any help.

Welcome to the forum! That sounds like your differential vent hose. Just get a zip tie and run it up as high as possible and tie it to the frame. Be careful not to pinch the hose.

Welcome to da club Toshie! I second that vote with RcsbHemi in that could very well be your differential vent hose. Keeps contaminents out of your diff while allowing pressure build up to be released. Definitely route the hose as high as you can get it without kinks so if you ever tread through axle high water or mud, you don't get any of that bad stuff into your diff.
