Default Clunking and Knocking in 4 wheel drive

ok so i got a problem and i am pretty lost on a solution. my 01 ram 1500 w/ 5 inch lift has a nasty knocking or clunking sound coming from directly underneath the driver and passenger seats. i had all front u-joints replaced and also the CV joint and still the clunking. it only happens in 4wd while i was at the beach on sand and gets louder on turns. the guy who is helping me has worked on trucks specifically for over 30 years and he is also a little lost. he has ruled out a transfer case issue or any gear issue which i still have a feeling it may be. tomorrow we are taking the cv joint out again and bringing the driveshaft to a driveshaft guy and he will grind it down a little to add room. they think there may be a bad angle with the driveshaft due to the lift. any other ideas out there..... thanks for any help

There's only one way to fix that problem -- return the driveline angles to stock. Angled lift blocks solve the problem with leaf springs, but it's more difficult with coil springs & I'm not aware of any aftermarket products for that job. However, I would assume there are some -- such as pieces like those used in a "leveling kit" but angled to turn the axle up @ the correct angle for the driveshaft.
