Didnt your '12s come with the Chrysler maintenance plan with free oil changes for two years (4 oil changes), thought it was a standard promotion for 2012 cars and trucks. It opnly pays the dealer like 28.00 or something but my dealer will do the changes for whatever they pay. I still do my own changes though, I'd rather look over everything myself..

My '12 Ram did, my wife's '12 Grand Cherokee did and so did my '12 Challenger.

I too fought for the 5 years of free oil changes... My only issue is how long my dealership takes to do ANYTHING!

KJ48,

I just bought a new 2012 Ram and didn't get four free oil changes. Is that somewhere in writing or mentioned on a official Dodge site? I sure like to get them if I am entitled to.

That's going to be dealer doings. If you didn't discuss it at the sale you didn't get it(just like me).
I would have taken it if offered but probably would not use it unless there is some kick a$$ local entertainment. I hate waiting that long for a simple oil change and I already have to waste time on my wife's car on my off time. Now that I think of it there is a dealer about an hour from me with a nice family oriented HOOTERS!

No free oil changes here either, but as little I drive my full size trucks, it wouldn't do much for me.

The 97 3500 CTD I had 5 yrs, and only put 34k on it (only reason it is so high is I did several 3-4k trips to pickup parts/equipment all over the atlantic coast and as far west as western michigan)

The 08 Silverado I traded in on my 2012 Ram I had 29 months and put less than 13k on it

I fully expect to put 5k or less on this truck a year, as it is only used for towing my boat when I go fishing, and when I go somewhere dressed up nice like church or something.........altho all the nice creature comforts on it (Laramie trim & loaded) are making it harder to not drive everyday.

I have 2 cherokees I use for daily driving and hunting duties. DD'ing the Laramie would kill it, as my commute to work is less than 5 miles round trip. Not a big fan of short stop & go driving trips for longevity.

I agree with Satin Pumpkin. You 6.7L Cummins guys with your 12 quarts oil almost come close to us Hemi guys with 16 plugs plus 7quarts of oil.

I have had my truck two months and I'm getting my second oil change. I've already put 7300 miles on it.
