It's the same concept on the 5.7...if it gives him more response and mpg it should on the hemi as well. Basically you're upgrading your stock breather tube to a CAB(Cold Air Breather)[I just made that up, being ironical, so don't get technical on me guys] You'll just have to look at where you want to position it. I'm going for it this weekend, it will be nice to eliminate that hose across the manifold if you don't have the cover on.

Kudos to Armyofone's cheap mods and sharing the methods in detail, they work great. Especially the airbox mod I noticed a big difference...shows you what a poor design the airflow to the intake is

It would actually turn it into a "hot air breather" lol. The stock airbox air temps will be colder than the air temp outside of the airbox(exposed to engine heat).

Really the temperature doesn't matter for the breather though, but this is probably worse than stock because you greatly reduce the the amount of filter surface area that the breather has to draw air from(creating more crankcase pressure).
