I don't think widespread but there has been multiple trucks with it happening too. Like I said from research on different forums mine and a few others started with erratic fuel gauge symptom, so just putting info out to help others if they have any issues.

for those with fuel pump problems, how often do you let your gas tank go below 1/4 of a tank?

I fill up when it gets around the 1/4 mark or just below. Have the 32 gallon tank pump turns off around the mid 20's mark never ran it to E.
