Default 2009 Quad cab 1500 truck maintenance

In looking at all the paperwork I got with my truck, I see only Chrysler made products mentioned. In all the Fords I had, I don't remember anything like that.
How do you find filters, oil, grease, antifreeze and all that other stuff that is needed. Is that where they make their money?
Thanks,
Jack

The oil filter number should be then same across the board, the oil will be 5W20, and standard grease and antifreeze (50/50) are fine.

Are you planning on the dealership to do the oil changes and general maintenance, or do it yourself?

I rely on checking and getting alot of my part numbers from Rock Auto . Their base seems to be more up to date than alot of parts houses I deal with . If my parts house has no listing , I go to R A get the part number then go to my supplier and get it that way . They ask me how did I get that number and just tell them , I have my ways .

I like doing the maintenance myself. I know there are some things I cannot do tho.
I started driving in 1950. (That makes me an old man) In all that time, I have changed my own sparkplugs except for two times. The last time was last year on my '03 Ford.

You don't need to go with their stuff, just an equivalent. Keep records of your services performed in case you need to show you routinely maintained the vehicle as part of a warranty claim.

Of course, since you been driving and maintaining vehicles for so long you probably knew that but it is also for the benefit of our other members here who may read this thread.

I perform all of my own maintenance and purchase my supplies from Autozone.

^^^^ Truly a great idea. I love my local AutoZone. Everything you need to do routine maintenance can be purchased there at competitive prices. Meaning, cheaper than the stealer's store.
