Just made a full trip to San An today.
I run the 5.9 Magnum. 4x4 with over sized tires.
I average about 9 city.
Usually about 12 highway, but today going 65 cruise the whole way I averaged about 13.3 mpg on the way there (empty bed) 14.1 on the way back with a twin bed and frame in the bed of the truck. - All hand calculated.
All cruise control 65 there and back.
I did pay attention to the road pavement and I got 2-3 higher (from overhead) mpg when i was on smooth asphalt.

Computer says 15ish in town and never much better than high 17s to low 18 on Freeway.

Was hoping for better. I drive pretty calmly...most of time

Heck, I don't baby it, but I don't run it too hard either. 80% freeway, 20% city, and I only get 14 to 15. Every tank has gotten better gas mileage by about .2 mpg. I noticed no change in mileage at all with my mods, Magnaflow 14" and volant intake.2
