Sorry, I haven't continued anything as I have been enjoying the 93 tune. I'll return it to stock and run it a week with 100% gas in the next couple weeks.

Ok I finally returned to stock to compare. I drove 175 miles and it took 9.7 gallons, which means I got 18.0 mpg (EVIC showed 18.5 for reference).

The only mods during this was Vararam, sonnax , aero 3030xl muffler and stock tune and 100% gas.

If I knew how to give rep points I would give you some, the snowmobile forum I am on has a ton of stuff like this about ethanol vs. non Ethanol but mostly for performance not fuel economy... I dont run ethanol fuel in my sled, I could but I dont.... Will be interesting to see if the cost difference to buy E vs. Non E is worth the switch for fuel economy
You give rep points by going to the little picture of the scale in the upper right portion of their post and click on it. You will see the option. He's getting some from me, this is an awesome test/post.

Thanks for the rep. I'm glad it was helpful for others. I certainly learned with this experience as well.

Great test, I ran 10% in my last tank, so far I have been averaging mid 15's with 90% of the miles being in town, w/ the E10 I was seeing high 13's. I wish I was seeing your kind of mileage.

Thanks for posting! I have done similar tests with ethanol vs. non-ethanol gas in my '04 ram and I got between .5 and .8 mpg more per tank but I have tried my fuel economy tune for the superchip....

I bet if you switched to the 91 or 93 tune you would get even better mpg's.

I'm glad to see others getting better results from the 100% gas too.

Any further updates on this? Does anyone really run the recommended 89 octane in their Hemi engine? Around here, you can buy pure gasoline, but only in 87 octane. This means to buy 89 octane, I'd have to buy it with 10 percent corn. Comments?

^yeah many people run 89. I would run 87 though if it was pure.

I have not done any further testing, but I will soon. I ordered the Hemifever tune and plan to test after I have some fun. Right now, Sean is waiting for me to send him info to move forward.
