Thank you all for the responses. Especially Redneck. Thank you!! I have come across a flasher relay produced specifically for LEDs. Of course I found it on superbrightleds.com. I've ordered one and will keep you all posted as to whether or not it fixes my problem.

I found an article on a diesel truck forum regarding the door locks, and a solution with pictures. Unfortunately the solution is in the pictures, which no longer exist on photobucket. I do know that the actuators are shot and am looking for a possible alternative to replacing the actuators ($100+ each). I've saw on a few sites 'universal' actuators. Where our trucks have a one-piece system, would these actuators properly install? I'm just looking for a cheaper solution to the problem.

As for an engine, I plan on keeping the 318 since it is the original. I would LOVE a 360. If I was to go that route, I would not hesitate to go ALL out. Im currently trying to restore a 1964 Chevy SS so there is where all my money goes. Hence why I wanted to know about cheap mods. But it's understandable that you can only do so much without going BIG or going HOME!!

Also, I hit a pole in my driveway the other morning, causing a dent the length of the rear bumper, vertically. Do any of you know of any tricks to pull that dent back out without noticeable effects?..

As for the dent, there is always the old toilet plunger trick. make sure you wet the surface to get a better grip. Good luck.
