Question Painting Engine Cover - Help!

Hey guys, I've got a 2010 Ram 1500 5.7, and I am looking at painting my engine cover,
I am having trouble finding a proper primer and paint made for plastic that is high temp and bendable, does anyone know where I could find this type of paint and primer, or know of any company's that specifically make a product for engine covers?

I had the same problem when I tried to paint my cover. No matter what I used, the stuff would flake right off again. I know a lot of people on here stress surface prep. You have to sand down the area you want painted to give the paint something to stick to. They do make primers specifically FOR plastics. I believe Krylon makes some. As for being flexible, have you thought of Plasti-dip/coat? I, myself, haven't used it yet, but a lot of the members on here swear by it. And the results they've achieved look really good...

For the hassle of doing it yourself plus the cost of materials...I'd just take it to a body shop. You'll have much better results than any rattle can too.

You could also look into hydrographics... We have a company here in Newberg that does it. The owner's kid drives a big ugly '04 F150 with a bunch of hydros on it. Looks awesome when it's done and won't chip or flake off...

Yeah, the results are awesome! The company here in Newberg actually does most, if not all, Nike's helmets and whatnot. Here's there site: http://hydrographicsinc.com/

There's another company in Dallas, TX, but I can't remember their name. (Phoenix Imaging or something) Their prices were pretty reasonable. Even after shipping back and forth. If HGI's shipping is too much, I'd be happy to be a middle man to cut down cost. I work in Newberg about 1/2 mile from them. So... I really need to go in and get some pricing done for some of my stuff.
