Default Transmission acting crazy!

So picked up a 2001 dodge ram 1500 4x4, with a 4" lift, with 99,000 original miles for only $900 bucks. But there's a catch transmission trouble.

Signs:
Won't go out of 2nd gear until 5000 RPMS (always shifts out of 2nd at 5000)

Well today it did something different:

Signs:
It actually shifted normally, so I thought... When I came to a stop it shakes and died, continue to drive tranny shifted correctly, but died at a stop. So I tried this, shift down to first before coming to a stop didn't die. So the tranny isnt cycling back down fom stopping.

I searched on here and came to a conclusion that it might be governor pressure transducer, etc. but today through me off how it shifted fine until I came to a stop.

At that price, even if you have to rebuild, you come out ahead.

sorry the late replies y'all. Codes are p0601 and p1672. Replaced governor pressure transducer and soleniod. Shifts great, but it has problems downshifting coming to a stop. Would code p0601 do this?
