Haven't pulled it over the mountians yet. That pic was before the weight distributing hitch. The truck does amazigly well with the trailer overall after getting the hitch and the sway control. The advantage that I have is that 75% of the weight I'm pulling is the trailer. We're hauling a golf cart and an electric dragster that weighs 450 lbs. The trailer weighs 4820 lbs empty and 6900 lbs with everything in it so I'm well below the 8600 lbs of towing capacity the truck has. I feel like we'll be fine but time will tell. I'm pulling it on a 1500 mile round trip in a few weeks.

The mirrors are in and hopefully I'll get them on tomorrow evening. I'll have a report when I get them on.

Got them on. Plug and play for the lights and power. I guess they don't look to terrible. I backed up to the trailer to give them a test and at least I can see around it now.

I had the opportunity to answer this question today. I've been working on the new trailer this weekend. I cleaned the heck out of it, painted the tounge and the tail board, added an auxiliary battery and an electric tounge jack. Once I got all of that completed, I loaded everything up within about 700 lbs of the total weight that I'll be pulling and took a trip over down I 540 to see how it would do with the super long grades.

I was totally impresseed with the power of the Hemi!! Maintained 60+ without much effeort and all the temps looked good as well. Oil stayed around 228 degerees, trans 172 degrees, coolant 204 degrees. The truck runs hotter than that in everyday traffic and it's 100 degrees here today. Overall I am completly happy with the way the truck performs pulling the trailer after adding the weight distributing hitch, the sway control and the towing mirrors.

Nice looking mirrors and a good deal. I got some aftermarket chrome towing mirrors for $400 shipped and I sold my OEM set for $100. I only tow my 30' tt a handful of times per year but worth it IMHO.
