Default will it hurt not having a parking brake?

I'm in the middle of doing the rear brakes on my 04 1500 and when I pulled the rotor off, half the parking brake components fell out with it. They’re obviously overdue to be replaced and must have been hanging up, dragging on the inside of the rotors, for some time judging by the wear. My question is…. Will it hurt anything to just leave the parking break guts out? I never set the parking brake when I had one, and don’t plan on starting to use it anytime soon. Advance Auto wants almost $100 for the shoes and hardware kit, which is money I don’t have to spend at the moment, especially if I’m not going to use it any way. Will it cause me any long term problems?

If it's not a manual and u don't park on any steep hills or tow much then u should be okay leaving everything off, just make sure there is nothing hanging or loose!
