Unhappy Need help with radio head replacement

Hey guys I got an 01 dodge 1500 and it came with an infinity sound system. Well I tried to change the speakers and the radio unit. But when I installed the aftermerket radio I turned it on and it worked just fine just doesnt play any sound through the speakers??? I know I hooked the speakers up right because I tested them on the old radio unit. Ive used 4 different diagrams and I got everything hoooked up right except possibly one wire which is blue/white (power amp or auto antenna relay). I bought a connector and on the instructions it says to connect the blue wire from the CR012 harness to the blue or blue/white amp remote/auto antenna wire of the stereo which turns on the infinity amplified speakers. I tried to figure that out but it just doesnt want to work. Can anyone help me out???????

I'm not sure if your rig is new enough to have the additional Infinity amplifier or not, but I believe, if it does, you need a special harness to bypass it or allow it to read signal from the new deck. You might get on Crutchfield.com and use their live chat to talk to one of the reps to see if that's the case. I know with my '02/'03 I'm going to need the harness. So far I've just updated the speakers and have a Line Out Converter for my sub. But if I replace the deck, I'll have to get the PAC harness too.

Is the infinity amplifier the thing attached to the speakers??? Thats what I have on mine and it took me half an hour to change each speaker cuz of all the wires an stuff. But shouldnt you be able to just bypass it somehow or is it required to even get the speaker working??

The amp, I believe, is behind the glove box. In order to bypass it completely, you'd have to run wires straight from the deck harness TO each speaker separately.
