Default How To Lift 2012 Ram 1500 4x4

I'm looking for some good ideas on changing the profile of my Ram. My last Ram was a 2008 2500 and the ride height was great. I traded for 2012 1500 and it looks like the front end is riding way too low.
If I lift the front only am I looking at handling problems and front end alignment issues.
I saw a Ram with a suspension and body lift combo from Rough Country for a lift of 4". But I couldn't find out if there were alignment or handling issues with that.
I don't intend to change tires and go larger. Just want to make it look like my old 08 Cummins.
Thanks for any input.
Dave

Hello batcave dave! Hey man, I installed the Bilstein 5100 adjustables and set it at 2.1 inches to give my 2012 4x4 Ram truck that leveled look. No problems with wheel wobble at any speed or in 4x4. Some Ram owners though have experienced the death wobble from maxing out the Bilstein and some have not. It is a 50/50 chance as most have said here. The only thing I recommend is to have the wheel alignment done just to set the camber and toe back to spec. My camber was off by 2 degrees from stock. Great ride and now parked next to my father in laws 99 Cummins, I sit about the same height if not taller but what he can't believe is how much smoother our half tons ride.

I'm running the factory leveling kit on my '09. Rides great. However I never drove the truck without the leveling kit so I wouldn't know. However I can say some of my buddies who grew up with big truck (I come from an import background) said they can't believe how well the truck rides with the leveling kit and 33's.

i have a 09 and i did the 2.75 front and 1.75 rear rough country leveling kit and kept the stock tires for about 2 months and it looked good and was the same height as a 2500. just today i put 35's on it to fill in the wheel well a little and it looks alot better. if you do a 4 inch and a body lift combo it will sit too high with not enough just tire. just my 2 cents

The bigger the lift the bigger the tire. I'm thinking of going 6'' with 38.5's x 13.50.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the new power wagons come with a 4'' factory lift? A guy I worked with had one and it looked to be about 4''.

I just bought the 6" rough country kit for my 2012 and waiting on the tires and gears. Going to a 4.56 gear because of tire size 37x12.50x20. Also to help with the low end for pulling and towing as well. Going to use the hypertech tire programmer to dial in tire size and compensate for gears.
Also bought the blisteins 5100's to bring it up just a bit in the front as well. Seen a few pics and cant wait.

It sits about 2" taller than a standard 2500.
