Default Opinions on programable chips...best one for money?

My dad has a bone stock 2006 Cummins 2500 and automatic tranny. He's probably going to chip it at some point, we were wondering what was the best chip to use that is adjustable for different power levels and driving conditions. It will be used for heavy hauling now and then.

I appreciate any advice!

I went with an H&S tuner when I did a DPF/EGR delete kit. Very happy with it! Would definately do it again!!

I've heard good things about the H&S as well. Apparently they have the ability to properly lock up the transmission so you don't fry it. I've got a BullyDog and I removed it from my truck due to the risk.

I've heard good things about Banks, but H&S is good too.

I'm running the diablo predator. But like anything, all components were sized to each other. When you start to change or modify a vehical. There is no cheapin out. What I did was had my tranny rebuilt with a heavy hauler. If your truck is the 5.9 automatic, your going to blow it up. Mine went at 70K miles, then again at 100. It's a shit tranny. After that I did a AFe cold air, 5" exhaust and the diablo. I have 2600lbs in the box and get 18mpg. Lots of smoke and power. If your gonna do it, do it right.
