Yep looking at that close up picture of the headlight on the 2013 slt ram it looks the same so hopefully the new headlights will be a plug n play deal.

Why are these headlights so terrible? I mean I told my wife last night it makes me mad every time I put them on bright... Also the new ones yall are talking about projector headlights what is the difference in them and the ones we have? But anything would be better than the ones we got. I just can't believe they would have a headlights this bad in 2012???

Sorry if this was a stupid question, I just don't know what they are and how good?

TIA

Projectors should have a more defined beam pattern...should.
I just want them for an HID retrofit...HID's are meant to be in projector housings. Running them in standard lights pretty much only makes things brighter...the beam pattern itself is terrible.
If I can combine the 2 it'll be the best of both worlds.

I don't know hardly anything about lighting but I know my buell has projectors and HOLY CRAP do they light up the road. It is seriously twice the seeing distance in all directions as compared to a normal car headlight.

On the other hand, I think the stock duals on my ram are adequate.

Just got off the phone with my parts guy at the dealer and I checked the parts numbers provided earlier and he said they were the Quad version for the 2013 Ram running at about $180ish a side. Then he was able to pull up the projector style and he said there are two versions depending on if the truck is a sport or "premium." The projector style lights run $579 a side...WOW.

Part numbers for the two are 68093216AB and 68093217AB as from my dealer.

Damn !!
Headlights have become a Major investment
One of those cost more than the tailgate that i just had to buy

My quad headlights when used with the fog lights on Low beam are OK
The High beam seem to do the job for me, but where i live, there are not many trees or brush along side of the road, to absorb the light beam

I am sort of looking forward to the time that they come out with headlights using lasers, BMW is working on it now

I'm gonna order a set in the next week or so. I'm tied up on a project through early October so no need to rush.
Maybe I can call in a favor from a parts dept guy I know and get a break on price.
