Question DSP Tranny setup help

I just got a Diablo Sport Predator that will be in my hand in a few days. I have tried to read everything I can about them and I understand how load a tune. update and the data logging. In the process of trying to learn about tuners I read alot about WOT and 2nd prime. So my question is, is the "canned" tune diablo has for our tranny, 06 1500 Hemi w/ 545 tranny, good enough or do I need to cutomize it? Im not looking to get every little thing out of this truck I can. Not planning any mods excpet bolt on stuff, currently have a CAI and exhaust. I dont want to tear up the tranny so help me out. Give me some advice on some settings for the tranny that will be easier on it.

I wouldn't mess with anything if you just plan on driving it. The only thing you can do with a can tune is raise shift points.

Im dont do any track runs or racing with my truck. Normally I dont drive it hard, no granny driving either, but it does get run hard sometimes. Im firefighter and I respond in my truck from home sometimes so it can get a work out then. I had just read where there could be issues after tuning with WOT and 2nd prime. I have also read where some "hid" 2nd prime by changing its shift point to less than 3rd for WOT.

The tranny only uses second prime while downshifting.

Yeah, thats what ive read. That 2nd prime is a passing gear. But ive read threads where people are saying that going WOT and the truck downshifting into 2P can be potentially be hard on the tranny especially and tuning. Im new to tuning so I want to make sure I get everything set right. If i dont have to customize the DSP tranny tunes then I dont want to. Too much potential to cause major damage. Just do want casue issue by tuning either.

I wouldn't mess with it. Just load the canned tune and don't bury the throttle at 60 on the highway What rear end gear do you have?
