Default Difference between polished SRTs and Chromed SRTs

Hey guys,

i am looking to order a set of wheels from here:

http://www.factoryreproductions.com/...SRT10-c283.htm

I dont want chromed at all, but that site uses the same picture for their chromed wheel as their polished.

so my questions is, does anyone have or have pics of the "polished" ones on a ram? is it actually different in appearance than the chrome ones?

Polished is actually a conditioning of the surface in question (metal, aluminum, etc...) its just Multiple stages of polishing/compounding of the surface to remove all inperfections to eliminate the dull appearance and bring out the bling. They are truly a work in and around themselves to keep looking good. I'll never run polished shoes again as no matter what I did to my previous vehicle's wheels, I always had that 'cloudy' appearance without EVER being able to get near a chromed look.

Chrome is actually a plating/bonding process that coats the surface (steel) in question to add bling AND a protective coat (rust, corrosion) that is a LOT easier to clean/maintain and has a far more mirrored (chromed) look about it without the cloudiness of polished.

Good luck.

thanks, i do understand fully the differences between polished and chrome but waht i meant was, has anyone seen the polished wheel from that vendor, and is it truly a polished finish, becuase they use the chrome wheel picture oin their site.

one good thing about here in norcal is that the weather is almost perfect so everything tends to stay top shelf interms of apperance.
