Default Roached New Yorker

I found an old New Yorker (I think it's a '58) in the woods by my house today. I know it's off my property line and thought about looking into it. Anyone think it's worth it?

I could only get the hood part way up but this is what I see...







I don't even know how I'd get it out with 24' trees growing around it.

I am 93.4875% positive that is a 392 FirePower (AKA Hemi.....but not in 1958).

The project would be big, very big but if restored right could be a Barret Jackson item.

I'm just concerned with the motor back 1/3 of the car is completely gone, and I mean from the rear window back is completely missing (except the frame). Just trying to figure if I could get the engine into something else, maybe the lawn choo choo.

I seem to remember a friend having a 392 that I thought was like a mid 60s Imperial or 300 or something. I almost remember him busting my balls over my 70 r/t cause I had a holley duel feed 650 I had put on it and he had a factory dual carb setup. I may be wrong, but I remember something like that with him. I only remember his car because I blew my charger up racing him on what we called the relocation road in Howland Maine.
It is a mile long straight away that was intended to be the original I 95 Southbound ( back in the 70s) but it got relocated about 1/4 of a mile cause it was off track. It got a quarter mile marked off of course in short order after discontinuing the highway and it became the beginning of a new local rural road, and playground for local road racing of all kinds. Local law enforcement pretty much left people alone out there as long as they did not bring the racing into town. I had raced my old bikes there years ago and alot of cars as well.
Anyway, long story longer, (LOL) I may be wrong it was a long time ago. Funny how things like that stick in your mind, when I cant remember what type of brakes I had on my 05 Magnum and put up a thread about it. LMAO
I remember that because I loved that old 70 R/T, it was soooo sweet a ride. I had an old slap stick 4 speed in it, dual feed 650 holley, moroso dry ice can, posi rear..it rocked. All the way to the shop after it blew up at around 120 MPH because I was not watching my RPMs close enough. My own fault. Sucks. Anyway, tell me if my memory is close on the 392 or not Thanks

I have to follow Brad's lead and see if I can get the #'s off it. I know where there's a Duster (Dust Pan) with no drive train...I just don't know if I have another build in me if I still haven't completely finished the truck.

Last year for 392 was 1958. That's a 392 in there. GET IT!!! My uncle (a chevy person) inadvertantly tossed a 354 and a 392 on me. Wanted to strangle him.

Just get some buddies and some sawzalls, hell with the fender bolts and all just cut the front off, take the motor mounts loose and unhook it, roll it out of the woods, cant hurt a chunk of steel anyways.

It has a generator so you know thats coming off, not really any damage you can do to it in the dirt rolling it. 2 people can lift and carry a short distance (experience) but if you got 4 you can carry a bit further if needed to get it to a truck or buy a lawn cart.
