trust me I'd rather run a DR but I can't find one around 31". a 29" is just too short for my truck IMO.

So the staggered 305/50 rear and 275/55 front in either the 420s or Ecsta STX will be going on....I'll probably end up trying both. lol.

yeah you can run MT streets everyday. plenty of mustang guys do it but they report to only getting about 5k miles outta them and I don't think they do to well in the rain. I know it will probably depend a little driver to driver but they are pretty soft.

We're running Mickey Thompson's new radials on our X275 cars. I'm not sure what all sizes they come in but they may have something that'll work.

I run the 555's on 9" rims with 17's up front (see signature). The combination works very well on the street and, although I haven't been on a track with them yet, when properly warmed, they hook for me (at 30 psi) during street launches when I pull the fuse for traction control and torque management. At normal psi, if not warmed, they spin hard though. http://www.nittotire.com/Tire/nt05r#size
War Baby, get that thing to the track already! You should be well into the 13's, sweet truck!

Thanks! I'm itching to get to the local tracks but my wife is very sick and requires frequent attention. I'll eventually get there.

Very sorry to hear this, my thoughts and prayers are with you, your wife and your family. Plenty of time to get to the track, hang in there.

I run the same setup as WarBaby
I run Nitto Nt555r @ 27psi on the rear about 9-10 months of the year and love them as a a street tire. I normally take them off during monsoon seasons.
Track as mention i would invest in M&H, Mickey or Hoosiers to get the most out of your track time visits but love the nt555r's on dry pavement.
Front - 275/55/17 Toyo Proxes II
Rear 305/45/18 Nitto Nt555r Drad Radials and Toyo Proxes 295/45/18

cheap cheap option is getting used winter tires.
