Default Mufflex

Was thinking about picking this up for my truck. A buddy of mine got one for his Dodge and loves it. Any thoughts or recommendations?

I would want to know what it sounds like when the MDS kicks in. There are a couple of Hemi Rams running around here with glass pack type mufflers with mega-phone exhaust tips out the back...they sound goofy when driving by. What is the interior drone noise with this setup?

I'd grab it.
14" or 18" is the more common choices

BSMExaust has free shipping on the 14-18-24 kits only until Sunday. I have been doing a little research on these and a common problem seems to be that they leak at the clamps. Seems most have that problem and have fixed it a few different ways. Welding it in which defeats the purpose of the kit. Change out the clamps. Cut another notch across from the existing notch. Even though those solutions may have solved their problem seems to me that the add to the work involved. I think a better solution would be to order the muffler online (Amazon has a great price at $85 at last look) and get a shop to weld it in. It should be cheaper depending on the shop charge and much less chance of it leaking. The Mufflex kit looks nice but for the price I think I could do better. What does make the kit appealing to me is the fact that if you don't like the sound you could always remove and sell it (at a big loss no doubt) but less appealing is the thought of me getting under my truck to actually do the job. Good luck with your choice.

Go with the 14'' It sounds amazing. Just do a youtube search and you can find a plethora of sound clips. I have had the same exhaust on 2 of my rams I will never go with something else. It doesn't sound that bad in MDS mode. If you don't like it you can always shut it off too.

I installed the 14" Mufflex system on my new Ram. It sounds fantastic!
Make sure you tighten down the clamps really well, I also used Ultra Copper
aroound all the joints.....no leaks!
