Question Tire/Rim sizing question

Hey everyone, wanted to see if anyone new what the max size tire/rim i could put on my truck w/o any scraping or any other problems. I have a 2007 1500 quad cab, no lifts or changes to suspension purely stock. If you want to let me know what it can be with a lift too i would appreciate that as well bc i might get one in the future.

Thats a pretty vague question.
Is your truck a 2wd or 4wd?
If it's lifted then the tire diameter is endless.....larger the lift the larger the wheel.

i would say with no lift 33's with a lift the rule of thumb is 35's are max on a 1/2 ton with out doing gears. now you can go as big as you want but any thing over 35's with stock gears makes the drive train work realy hard.. any good tire shop that dose lift kits and sells wheels and tires can help you out.

Default Tire size

On my 05 Ram1500 quad cab I put 295/60/20 Terra Grapplers on my factory 20" wheels. They only rubbed when I turned fully left or right on the sway bar. This was with no lift. Hope this helps.

i'm basically thinking about getting 20's/22's with 33s but didnt know if those would fit or not, but from what you guys are saying it kinda sounds like it wouldnt be a problem.

Make sure you get the right offset, some wheels will sit further in/out than others based on offset. If you get the wrong offset then you may end up needing wheel spacers to keep from rubbing. Like stated earlier, go to a wheel/tire shop and ask them. Act interested in order to get the information you are seeking then shop around and see if their price is the best, if not buy elsewhere, but at least youll know what you need.
