Default OEM SRT-10 22" Rub Issue

I've been running a set of OEM SRT-10 22X10 wheels on a 2008 1500, but I noticed that part of the ball joint arm is rubbing on the inner sidewall of the tires at the front. I see the complete circular wear mark on the inside of the tire. Surprisingly, I've never felt the rubbing. I initially thought there were no modifications needed for these rims to fit my truck.

Oddly, I've had these tires rotated before, and neither I or anyone who's rotated them noticed the wear mark inside.

I'm on the fence about wheel spacers. I've never been a fan of them.

Has anyone here run into this issue? What options do you guys suggest if I choose to keep these wheels?

Thanks for your input.

1) Narrower tires (don't know what size you have now).

2) Grinding down area on arm that rubs (if there's enough material there to safely do so).

3) Wheel spacers.

4) don't turn wheels to rub point.

all 06 - 08s will rub with the stock srt 10 22s, a 1/4" spacer will stop the rubbing......and you will not notice the difference other than no rubbing of course

That was my error- left out the tire size...

I'm running Nitto NT 305/40/R22 tires.

If I go with the 1/4" spacers, any brands or material that you recommend as far as safety and durability?

Also, is there any possible damage done to the front suspension and/or tires from the long term rubbing to date?

I had the same issue on my 2011 with 305/45. I got some cheap 1/4 spacers and all seems well now. Will probably go with some narrower tires when I need new tires

I'm realizing that I'm an ocd nutjob about the spacers. Since you mentioned narrower tires... have you ever heard of running oem SRT-10s on a 285 tire instead of a 305? I may be wrong, but maybe that would give me the clearance I need?

Can't say for sure that it would work but its my plan to run a 285/45/22. That's the size tire they are putting on r/t 22's from factory, and I believe they have specs close to the srt wheels
